Tsz-Yan Leung

Tsz-Yan Leung, a graduate from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was diagnosed with acute leukemia in 2011. Unfortunately, after a bone marrow transplant from her family member in early 2012, her disease relapsed. She was hospitalized at the Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong to receive chemotherapy. She was informed that since she had conducted many rounds of chemotherapy before, this latest round of chemotherapy had to cease after just two more doses. Among the world’s stem cell and bone marrow registry with two million Chinese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong donors, Tsz Yan was told that no potential donors were found yet. Time was critical to Tsz Yan’s battle with cancer but through someone’s generous donation, Tsz-Yan was able to find a donor and has undergone transplant! Wishing you well, Tsz-Yan!
