Emily Sun

Emily Sun (on left in photo) is a 36-year-old Australian mother of Chinese ancestry who has been battling lymphatic cancer since 2010. With treatment resistant disease, her only chance of survival now is through a stem cell transplant.

Emily has a lot to live for—especially her five-year-old son Luke, who’s had to watch his mother undergo treatment since he was three. Read more about Emily at Parenting With Cancer.

With a higher chance to find a match within one’s own ethnic group, Emily needs a stem cell donor of Asian descent. The problem is that Emily is having difficulty finding a match. The donor can be from anywhere in the world, but a match would more likely be found in someone of Chinese,Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Vietnamese, or Singaporean descent.
